The trek starts from the small village of Barshaini, which is accessible by road from the town of Kasol. Covering a distance of about 13 kilometers, the trek usually takes 5-6 hours to complete. Right Now, there are two routes of kheerganga trek. One is via kalga village and another one is via Nakthan village. Its totally up to you from where you want to go but we advise to go via kalga village and come back via same route.
