About Waichin Valley

The valley known as the “Magic Valley” is located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. Waichin Valley trek is one of the hidden gems and not many people know about this. The valley is located near the village of Malana and on the uphill side. It is a serene place and a must-visit for any explorer.

Here, you can feel close to nature and listen to the peaceful and enchanting sound of sheep and goats in the mountains and the flowing water of the river. Camping/homestay is the only available facility here. It is one of the good options to spend time in nature, where only a few people live and you can even sit by the riverside and meditate if you want.

Trekking in Waichin Valley

The trek starts from Malana Dam. This trek is approximately 4-5 kilometers long, and along the way, you will see 3-4 waterfalls. It is said that the Waichin Valley is owned by foreigners, and it is a unique attraction of this place. This valley presents an attractive view of the Himalayan mountain range, which includes Animal Pass, Tiger Mouth Peak, and Khiksa Thaj Glacier.

The village has a very low population and it is rich in flora & fauna. There are no modern cafes in the Waichin Valley. which sets it apart from kasol and tosh, and it is a more peaceful place. At night, this place looks beautiful with millions of stars above you. This place will completely immerse you in the love of Himachal and its beauty.

Things to keep in mind while traveling:

  • Do not roam alone at night. It’s not safe.
  • Respect Pahari culture and don’t argue/fight with people around you.
  • Do not litter in mountains.
  • Save mountains, Save Nature.
  • Don’t do trekking with drugs.
  • Always carry a medical box, torchlight, trekking stick, trekking shoes, warm clothes, and a water bottle with you.
